- Spent a whole long Sunday trying to get to Dulwich Picture house to go in their new hipster soft play. It took ages; multiple busses, cancelled busses, busses too full to get on. But we got there and had a blast; saw a Peter Randall-Page sulpture and went to an ink printing workshop where we printed a banner for our little flat.
- I still have ink stains on my hands.
- The little 5 month old woke up at 12.30am and proceeded to “Run” (i.e. just flail her arms and legs) for an hour and a half straight. No other noise, no crying, no whimpering, just straight wiggling. Limbs motoring. Legs and arms a whirl. Obviously when your third kid is non-stop moving throughout midnight there’s no way you can sleep. It felt like we were attending her first marathon, but we were all horizontal. Proud of her.
- “You’ve just gotta stop whining kiddo”
”What even is whining dad?”
”You don’t know what whining is?”
”I think it’s a drink?”
- There’s not one week that goes past that someone in this family isn’t ill.
- Had a lovely meeting with our Heat Pump installer at the new house. He met our builder and we all talked about BTU outputs and out-and-back flows and types of insulation. Our builder has started to understand that Lizzy is the main person to talk to if he wants a straight answer, and I am just the eye candy.
- The eldest had trouble this week going back to school. A teacher change has upset her balance, even crossing the threshold out of our flat has been a real emotional challenge. This has led to a lot of terrible parenting moments. But did lead to a few blissful hours where we just sat and did The Guardian Sodoku together.
- The littlest one has found her feet, they were at the end of her little leggys all this time, but now she can grab those tiny toes with her tiny hands.
