- In the rear view mirror, I could just see the youngests face peeking out between the greenery. The eldest kept on shouting out “There’s a spider on me” jolting me into high-alert as we drove the 20 minutes home with a second tree for our small garden. The back of the car a jungle of leaves and a mash of native english branches. Some people say Beech tree’s are Englands most beautiful native, but rammed into the back of a rental toyota, they’re an uncomfortable travel mate.
- The tree is now in our back garden giving us a little more shade in this summary September. It’s next to our failure of a birch tree which is now overly pruned to try and convince it to grow some leaves next year.
- At work it was launch week for the beta phase of an AI tool we’ve been working on. I’m claiming a lot, but it feels a little like magic when you use it and I’m proud of to have been part of the team building it.
- As the littlest kid is almost 4 years old, Lizzy thought it would be a good idea to give her more than a single drawer for all her clothes. Now rather than stuffing + folding jumpers into a single drawer we have a huge ikea wardrobe in the kid’s tiny shared bedroom. Lizzy did most of the work, but the last few drawers we built together and obviously it was very romantic.
- Went on my first bike ride since my bike was carbon repaired and it became quickly apparent that I was over-clothed. Having only owned and ridden this bike in winter/spring so far, riding in summer heat was a sweaty endevour.
- I’ve been wearing a bumbag cross-body like a cool guy for a month or so, and Lizzy hates it so much that she bought me a more stylish one.
