- We just finished another year of the same Anglesey holiday we do every year (here’s 2022). In other areas of life I talk a lot about good life principles being the ability to create opportunities, build confidence to make choices, and be resilient to change. Finding comfort in where you ended up and not being comfortable with stability. But through all this, consistency and repetition keeps you grounded, and can help you understand the changes in people, in landscapes, in communities.
- The blackberries this year were plentiful. So many it felt like some Anglesey overlord had played the “year of plenty” Catan card. I picked about a kilo of blackberries and my mum made them into a crumble for the family.
- The blue moon made the tides so high that the nearby beach disappeared. At low tide the water let the kids wade about further out than they’d been before.
- We discovered a Christmas aisle in Morrisons, someone should create a year-round advent calendar.
- The kids are mostly old enough to play board games and more complex card games.
- We had a nightmare with the electric car in North Wales. No fast chargers that were operational and we ended up with less than 10miles charge remaining.
