- Maybe it should be mandatory to cycle on roads before passing a driving test.
- A gluten-free cookie and icecream company came in as desert caterers for lunch at Busuu. After we’d all eaten far too much the caterers gave away the remaining cookies and I managed to snaffle a few. For the run home I slipped them into my sony-headphone case where they nestled perfectly. Very satisfying.
- The practice stollen last week was 50 to 100percent better than the final one I baked this week. This weeks came out of the oven looking like Pearl from the film Blade. We presented it anyway and people were polite about it. (And it tasted delicious thanks to my main boy nigel slater )
- Booked the transport (well, lachie booked the transport)for a ride from london to paris in april. More endurance rides, more of the time. Bikes are great.
- Enjoyed a weekend in the picturesque Lake District with the “big girl cousins” who helped our eldest and youngest understand the freedom that growing up outdoors affords you. Playing in a garden that has a river running through it, bridges and stepping stones, its own island, fairy doors and a swing is quite different to our 3x4m square yard in north london, but access to both are a privilege that not many have.
