• Running! We ran another Busuu active this week, just our usual 5k route, but this has really become something. Just need logo’s and merch, the true sign of a running crew.
• My long run to work got diverted as the builders under the employment of the gentrifiers of hackney wick were removing another beloved graffiti’d landmark to build a much needed block of luxury flats.
• It was fireworks night and I made parkin for the first time. I was very pleased with it and the kids, especially the eldest, gave rave reviews of the firework cake.
• Went up the shard with two excellent friends. Felt like I shouldn’t have been allowed in. but you can essentially go up “Just for a drink” at the ‘fancy’ bars. Only after we’d returned to grubby ground level did the realisation hit that we were only on floor 32 of 95.
  • Also made sure we made use of the “look out across london while peeing” urinals. Worth the trip just for this.
• Watched Junior Taskmaster with the eldest and guffawed together while watching Mike Wozniak get pelted with googly eyes by kids.
• I dropped the yoghurt spoon while we were making banana bread and the the littlest kid wanted to say “shiver me timbers!” but actually said “sugary dimbets!”
