- We met our middle one’s teaching team, sat on the littlest chairs in the tiny English room. They gave a good presentation about how, if we could do just one thing, we should read with our kids.
- This week Liz fitted some sliding doors in our living room. They’re soft close both ways (open and shut) and they’re so satisfying to open and shut. What a world we live in, imagine living in the eighties when no one had soft close. People must still be suffering from ptsd from the doors and cupboards slamming. Anyway, Liz got to use a circular saw and a power sander and there was dust and wood chips everywhere and I felt very proud that I’m the partner of someone who can just attempt a job like this with no prior experience and get it done.
- Ordered new running shoes and obviously they don’t fit my very wide feet.
- Every friday I get anxious at work. This is because every Friday I find something that’s going on with some project or other and I usually find it too late to do anything about it. This Friday I found that we released a migration two weeks ago and no one had seen that it had stopped iOS users seeing any of the things we needed them to see.
- The eldest and I were on a train to Nunhead that didnt Stop at Nunhead. It just rolled on past to the next station where it terminated and us and some very confused hipsters exited. Lucky for us, the train was going immediately back to Nunhead. Unlucky for the driver, who had to walk the length of the station apologising to everyone on the platform asking him why the train didnt stop at Nunhead.
- Spent a lovely few hours in nunhead at the old nuns head revelling in the proximity to the park and the company of some super friends and our elder kids who really grasped my challenge to eat a whole large portion of chips to themselves.
- On A RIDE, I rode through some Dulux Brilliant White that some local hero had spilled on the road. The effect was very “three cheers for sweet revenge”. The white paint splatter confused a lot of other cyclists one of who’m commented that he thought my tyre had burst and all the tyre sealant had covered me.
- Our littlests first birthday party consisted of a very relaxed few hours in our local park. Stomp rocket, football, den building and tree climbing with a few good friends.
