Control excess

Having too much of a target for drinking last year was a bore. It worked, but it really didn’t help. Although it was a talking point! This year I’m going to default to not-drinking. I’m actually scared of drinking. Almost every morning after drinking I wake up with some regret or other. Also, My own old Dad died last year from ill-health that started from diseases related to a lifetime of terrible alcohol control. I want to last longer than 70 years. Sorry, you’re gonna have to put up with me for a helluva time.

Purposefully I’m not tracking caffeine intake, because coffee is excellent.

Aims

Organise and complete more adventures.

Now the house is mostly done. Make more time for getting into the outdoors. Make weekends long, take the kids along. Last years best weekend was without the kids, riding the south downs way. This year I want to make sure the best days of the year are shared.

Objectives

Become more resilient to change

To me this is about building new things that can be constants. i.e. Make things and learn new skills. In the spirit of 1. Track these and share progress. Don't just do this, but do it well. I think these should be products, i.e. a studio that can sell one-off’s (or I can gift them) I’ll aim for 11 new skills, one a month. If I don’t like doing something, thats fine. I’ll just make something then give it up.

I’m hoping that finding a creative outlet that I enjoy can be something that in times of need, could also make me money and/or connect me with a new local community.

I was a bit inspired for this with my fave adventurer Beau Miles for his 12-days of newness series.
