• Sports day and as usual, it was so hot. I managed to attend both the girls events, but only for 15 mins each due to work commitments. In that time I did get to see; Hurdles, Sack Race, Bean Bag Relay and Discus.
• Upped my cycling output this week with a pre-work spin around Epping with terrible traffic and a longer-than-usual haribo-fueled route through Essex. “Follow me on Strava!”
• Those who’ve been will know the angle of the approach road to Preston Park, it’s a steep one. There’s little room for complacency when you’ve wheeled your wheely suitcase to the top in case it starts rolling back down. Luckily for the woman who’s suitcase had started careening down the road, I managed to save it just before it hit a parked Mini. Not all hero’s wear capes, sometimes just Teva’s.
• Spent a weekend at Alice + Lachies mansplaining screws, hinges + fixings in far too much detail while the kids put on “delightful” magic and origami performances.
• Sunburned my back and shoulders on the beach in Brighton. Find out more about this, in a more well-written style over at Alice’s Weeknotes.
