- Late post, soz
- The eldest worriedly decided that the class cinema trip was a no go. Me, a usually placid parent who also doesn't like my kids missing out, enquired about what they were going to see. “Sonic 3” was the reply. Well, there goes another evening spent with me dadsplaining the sonic universe and us both watching the Sonic 3 trailer and then the change in decision that leads to the response: “it was GREAT” when I asked how the trip went.
- We took my mum to the new house and she was very complimentary considering how much of a run down wreck it is. Can’t wait to start some work on it.
- The gym in our building has been trying to get me to go since we moved in and now i’ve caved in. The 6am sessions with the other silent headphone wearers have been pleasant enough. The gym is equipped with all the equipment you could ever need and more. The only equipment I ever need are two sets of dumbbells and Juice & Toya on the youtube. The other equipment sits intimidatingly in the background of my workouts. The power sled as yet untouched.
- Our worn-out end of the week was brought to a full stop by a visit from some close family to our tiny abode and a lovely walk showing the sights of Tottenham Hale: 30-story new builds, renovated park equipment, community-run skatepark, flyover dead-space homeless village, partly submerged sinking canalboats, rectified cladding warehouse development, christmas themed charity collectors. A whole bundle of life in a 30minute circular walk.
- Oh and the last part of the weekend was putting up the chrimbo tree. This time a real 6ft tree shipped from Walthamstow on the back of the cargobike against a substantial headwind. Now its taking up most of the living room. Good will to all.
